The Artist Spotlight is Rainbows in Revolt’s platform for uplifting emerging LGBTQ+ musicians and giving them the recognition they deserve. Too often, queer voices in music are overlooked or pushed aside. Our goal is to change that by creating a space where these artists can be seen, heard, and supported. Each spotlight introduces our audience to fresh talent across genres and highlights the stories and identities that make their music powerful.

When an artist joins our Spotlight, they become part of a growing network of queer musicians who are shaping the sound of today and tomorrow. We feature their work in interviews, playlists, articles, and across our social channels. This gives them multiple ways to connect with new fans and ensures their music reaches beyond their immediate circle. By centering both their artistry and their lived experiences, we aim to increase visibility and open doors to opportunities that might otherwise remain out of reach.

A unique part of our Spotlight program is merchandise. Each artist has items available through the Rainbows in Revolt Etsy store, with 90 percent of the profits going directly back to them. These funds help cover the costs of recording, producing, and releasing new music. From that share, every artist also commits 20 percent of their profits to LGBTQ+ charities that they feel strongly about, ensuring that the success of their music gives back to the broader community. The remaining 10 percent of each sale goes to Rainbows in Revolt to help fund our advocacy and keep building safe, visible spaces for queer creativity. For fans, this means every purchase directly supports queer musicians and strengthens LGBTQ+ communities at the same time.

The Spotlight is not just about promotion. It is about community building. Every feature is an invitation to celebrate LGBTQ+ creativity and resilience. By amplifying queer artists, we hope to inspire connection, visibility, and pride, reminding audiences that music has always been a force for belonging and change. Listening to their songs, sharing their stories, or buying their merchandise all help strengthen the movement we are building together. Rainbows in Revolt believes that when queer artists rise, we all rise.

Rainbows in Revolt: Using queer-led creativity to fuel LGBTQ+ activism, artist voices, and safe spaces.
