Looks up each unlinked artist on MusicBrainz, which is open and needs no key, and takes their Spotify page and photo from it. Roughly a second each, so it runs in the background while you keep swiping. Big names land most of the time; the smallest artists often aren't in there yet.

Artist links are the default and all you need. Spotify plays their popular tracks in popularity order, so one link stays current on its own. Add a track link only when you want to override that. Names and photos come from Spotify's public embed data.

How the
mix tape works

Queer music, one card at a time

Keep Swipe right or tap Keep. The artist goes on your tape, and the deck starts showing you more of that sound.

Skip Swipe left or tap Skip. Passes on them and steers the deck away from that style.

Play Each card plays a track. Tap play on the first one to start the sound, then it follows along as you swipe.

Side A The counter up top holds everyone you kept. Open it to share your tape as an image, or tap any name to open that artist in Spotify.

Mix Most of what you see is emerging and rising artists you probably have not heard yet. That is the point.
